Selma Van Diest

Selma has over 14 years of experience as a Clinical and Health Psychologist and Sex Therapist in the Netherlands and Australia, both in a private practice and hospital setting. She works with a broad range of clinical issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and sexual issues, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), EMDR for trauma and Sex Therapy.

Her aim is to help clients to work towards a happier and more satisfying sexual relationship. She is also very passionate about providing training, education and workshops to health professionals to promote a better understanding of the topic of sexuality, the impact of sexual difficulties on clients, and how to provide comfort and confidence to professionals to discuss this topic with their clients.

Selma is registered with the Australian Psychological Society, AHPRA, she is an accredited Clinical Psychosexual Therapist according to the standards of SAS- Society of Australian Sexologists and is member of the AUSPATH (Association for Transgender Health).
